| Amelia has learned the hard way that life is rough, and it seems that it’s about to get tougher for her. She’s working at a bar, and the owner thinks that it’s time she put up more than drinks. She wants to find another place to work and keep her dignity, but how is she going to do that with a small brother to support? Just as she’s about to give up, an intriguing gentleman saves her from a brutal man. What is it about him that attracts her? Then she finds out that he’s much different from anything she’s ever known.
Grant meets Amelia after his long time friends find out just what he is… a demon. They have just gotten done trying to kill him, and he’s understandably upset. All that disappears when he sees a woman getting attacked, and when he goes to her rescue he finds himself more attracted to her than any woman he’s known. Will she accept him as he is? Or is he destined to be alone? Amelia is a strong person who finds herself in a situation that is hard to get out of gracefully. I liked her a lot, she was no nonsense, and didn’t allow herself to get overwhelmed by a situation that surely would have broken most women. Grant has been around for a long time, and is understandably cynical about women and humans in general. When the two meet the sparks fly and the action is non-stop. I had a lot of fun reading this book; it captured my attention from the first page. Of Blood and Blessings is an entertaining book that is definitely one I will put on my keeper shelf.
