Homicide Detective Pasquale O'Grady is searching for his missing daughter. He traces her disappearance to a vampire who is killed before Grady can question him. The only lead that remains is the vampire's killer - another vampire. A violent explosion during the investigation leaves Grady bonded to vampire's sister. Unfortunately, humans have only one place in the vampire world - blood slave. No matter how sexy Segrun may be, Grady is nobody's 'boy toy'.

This is a hot, sexy vampire read. The pace is fast and plot is very engaging. The verbal sparring between Grady and Segrun is highly entertaining. The sex is raw and visceral. I was concerned about Grady's "slave" issue but Ms. Black's resolution was perfect. This is a great series. I highly recommend it and I can't wait for next book.
