| Mike is a man out on the town in the big city. He only leaves his home in the country when he's in need of supplies or when he needs to blow off some steam. On one of his trips he hooks up with Steven. Something about the man is different than his usual one night stands but Mike can't put his finger on just what it is. But, Mike isn't the only one that feels something; Steven can't forget Mike and tracks him down to his home. It's there that their true natures are revealed. Mike is a werewolf and Steven is a vampire, their kinds are enemies yet their attraction to each other is strong, but will it be enough to hold them together?
Loved, loved, loved this story. I'll be the first to admit that when I started reading I had preconceived notions about how it was going to play out. I'm thrilled to say that while some of the things I thought would happen did indeed happen they developed in such a way that captured my full attention and held it until the very last word. Mike is a very alpha man. He cares deeply for his pack and only leaves them behind for his monthly supply trip to the city. It's there that he quenches the sexual fire that his being a werewolf engenders close to the full moon. The attraction between Mike and Steven was instantaneous and fully felt by the reader due to Mike Shade's vivid descriptions. The longer these two are together the stronger this bond grows and the more that Steven changes. The development of Steven as a character who has buried all sympathy and thought for anyone outside of himself into a loving, caring man was a delight to behold and quickly made him my favorite character. The sensual scenes between the two men were graphic but written in such a way that the beauty of their love shone through each touch. I can't wait to read more by this wonderful author. Bloodmoon is going in my top 10 books of the year.
