Five hundred years of traveling and searching, Mikael De Wohlf, still lacks love. He has become more feared then even Dracula because death doesn’t frighten him. He only feels jaded, cross and bored. Known as Cerberus Gnosis, he has a tendency to frighten people, since they don’t quite know how to take him. He gathers the attention of many women because of his looks but never the one woman he has searched countless years for. Annabella Micelli knows the real Mikael. He has a past life that is quite repulsive. He knows she has refused his advances, but one day he is certain his obsession will indeed be his. Annabella, Bella, Micelli, knows everything about Mikael, including the deeds he has done. She serves as his secretary, and personal assistant. There is something about her presence that soothes him and also weakens him, a fact he doesn’t wish his enemies to discover. Bella wonders why a monster has to be so handsome. She does grow weary in waiting for him. She desires him as much as he does her, and when he makes his move, she realizes she would be crazy if she turns him down again.

Blood Red is a tantalizing story of vampires and a woman’s love to come to grips over the man she wishes more than life. Bella and Mikael have a special connection but they try their best to fight the attraction which only makes it even more heated for the two. I found the tale to be most tender and romantic. It is like these two people have been created just for each other. Aline de Chevigny takes the reader into a world that intrigues and allures. It was easy to feel the expressions that Mikael endured all his years of being alone, yet trying to find his one true love. The love story of Mikael and Bella lives in this enchanting read.
