Serena Lark longs for two different worlds. One in which she is a lady with all the amenities that one in 1818 would have, and the other as vampire hunter beside Lord Summersby and Drake Swift. To further complicate the story, Serena suspects she herself is a vampire because of the vivid dreams she has been having. What she finds out about herself proves to be more shocking. On the day of her twenty-fifth birthday she will become a full vampire unless Swift and Summersby can prevent it. Add to the mix a Lord Lukus, a vampire king who wants Serena for himself and will do everything in his power to make her his queen. In the midst of their fight to save Serena, both Summersby and Swift realize they are in love with her and she with them. As the danger grows closer to them, all will make startling discoveries about the power of love.

This is a fascinating, erotic story of Serena's which will compel the reader to keep turning the pages to see what comes next. All the character's are engaging and well thought out. Ms. Page does a fine job of adding different twists and turns to the typical paranormal vampire genre. The love that develops between Sommersby, Drake and Serena is believable. The emergence of Lord Lukus adds a nice threat to the whole plot. The book constantly surprises the reader and just when you think you have if figured out it turns out different. This is a racy read at times, but the spice adds to the story instead of taking away from it. A book for those who like their stories very erotic, mysterious and full of surprises.
