| The MacDougal is the planetary leader of Earth. His sister is trying to save him from an assassination attempt. Unbeknownst to Mac, Amereth has been secretly working on a new type of android that can hold more memory and feel sensations. It's a pleasure bot, but she's sure that it can hold her brothers consciousness until she can heal his body. When Mac awakes, he isn't quite sure what's going on. He has a strange buzzing in his head whenever he tries to remember. The compound is under attack, and all he knows is that he must escape. The last thing he remembers is Elyiana, and he's sure that she's his salvation.
Elyiana is a very popular erotic romance author that has been poking fun at The MacDougal by putting him in her books. He's been calling the publisher, and has even called to speak (yell) to her, but has been unable to stop her. She finds it great fun, and in her most recent book she made sure that the hero was obviously based on The McDougal. That really set him off this time, and Elyiana couldn't believe how mad he got at her. He promised that he was going to teach her what a woman needs in bed, and she couldn't help but hope he would. Something about The MacDougal attracted her, which is part of the reason she takes such delight in aggravating him. When Mac arrives, he looks different so she doesn't know who he is, but finds herself attracted to him in the same way she is to The MacDougal. The sparks fly, but when life gets back to normal and Mac gets his memory back, will he still want her? Great story! I can't wait for the next one, hopefully starring Amereth. Veronica Chadwick and Lora Leigh certainly left me panting for more with this one. The characters are well developed, and extremely likeable from the first. Mac is starts out as very sure that how he lives is the only way, but Elyiana throws him for a loop even before he looses his memory. Elyiana is a free spirit, bound to no one and nothing. She won't give up her independence, even if she falls for a man who has to be in control of everything around him. The sex is hotter than hot, with the all the passion and emotion that you could ever want. The interaction between Elyiana and Mac is entertaining and intense; I really enjoyed reading this book. A definite keeper, I highly recommend it.
