Lady Sibylla Cavers is adventurous by nature, and even though is ready for marriage; she rejects the suitors from her father. While trying to save a small child in the churning river, she finds herself in a situation also needing rescued. Being pulled from the waters by the man she had refused to wed, she is forced to be in his presence while she recuperates. Simon Murray, Laird of Elishaw does not realize it is Sibylla until he pulls her from the rushing waters. The runaway bride rejected him three years prior. He never forgot that humiliating moment and vowed to repay her one day. As the two spend time together, while she and the child recover from the accident, she sees Simon differently. He is older and guards his emotions better, and as much as he would like to push her aside, Simon realizes she has a way of capturing his heart. As he tries to protect his estate, amid conflicts with Scotland , can he and Sibylla find the lasting love to survive all the obstacles set before them?

Whew, all I can say is, wow, what a page-turner. I love Simon, and his take-charge attitude, and the way he adoringly cares for Sibylla. I could almost visualize the expression on Simon’s face when he commanded her not to get out of the bed, not to mention the part about the good wife on the wedding night. Simon oozes with sexy charm that leaps from the pages. The intensity of the writing, is tight, and keeps the reader glued until the ending. Amanda Scott blends a superb read in Border Moonlight. The dynamic pairing of Sibylla and Simon, with their wide range of emotions, really makes this story outstanding and left an impression with this reader.
