| Dana travels to Las Vegas to help her sister Mira who is in trouble. On her first night there, she meets Rory who saves her from a vampire attack. Rory is a vampire master and swordsman, who feels an instant attraction to Dana when he saves her. Jason has spent two centuries running from a past of guilt and shame. A past that has not let him have a relationship with Rory, the man he loves. Can the three lovers come together before it's too late, before the evil growing in Las Vegas keeps them apart for eternity?
Okay I have to say I was a little bit disappointed in this book. This is book is part of a series. While the storyline is great and I can't wait for the next book, I found the relationship between the three main characters to be forced and not quite believable. The character of Dana is supposed to be a caring sister, but right off she comes of as annoying and abrasive. Rory is a great character but for a vampire master, he sure lets people treat him badly. He just didn't seem dominant enough to be a master and Jason, while redeeming himself in the end, was just not very likeable through most of the story. So removing that dynamic from the story it is still intriguing and the mystery of the New Reign still draws you in. There are some very racy m/m and m/f/m in the book, which are well written and go with the story. I think they would have been better if I had liked the main characters better. I did like the fact that the characters from the first book are in this story and their personalities are still the same. I really hope the author makes a story for Tyler soon.
