Ms. Karland has done an amazing job of creating our future world. The downfall of society as we know it is a scary thought, but the author has also brought life and love to those scary and volatile times. Boudica’s emotions are raw and explosive. And while Aries seems to be more controlled, his fire burns just as hot underneath all that steel. These are two very powerful characters that have very strong personalities. Because of those personalities, the tension between them has been simmering just below the surface for quite a while. The sexual tension between them will have you on edge throughout the book, until it finally reaches the boiling point. Once that happens, it is so unbelievably hot, steamy and sensual. If you enjoy books that take place in a dangerous world with strong characters that know how to burn up the sheets, you will enjoy this story.
