Bound by Desire was an enjoyable read, despite the occasionally uneven pacing and my feeling some of the sexually explicit scenes were unnecessary. While there was only one complete sex scene between the hero and heroine in the book, there were a number of other explicit scenes, and some of them were integral to the story line. Ms. Steiger created an interesting situation and appealing characters that each face their own dilemmas and, because they are so different, do so in their own ways. The development of the relationship between the hero and heroine was well done. The conflict was real, the reasons for Kalen's reluctance to engage in a physical relationship believable, and the resolution satisfying.
