| All Kerry wants to do is help her brother, Mark, because he is the only relative she has left and has done so much for her. Kidnapping security expert Rafe Dawson is a last resort but one she undertakes because he won't talk to her on the phone. With the help of her brother's best friend, Rafe is soon tied up in a beach love nest. Needless to say, Rafe is not happy and it doesn't help that he feels on overwhelming attraction to Kerry. It doesn't take Rafe long to turn the tables on Kerry and soon they are negotiating the perfect plan, one that will help Mark while at the same time appeasing their attraction to each other.
I felt like Kerry and Rafe were my good friends by the end of this book. The author does an amazing job of bringing her characters to life, allowing them to have traits we can all relate to. The reader can easily sympathize with Rafe's anger on being duped by Kerry and waking up a prisoner with the crazy woman that's been stalking him on the phone. The reader can also sympathize with Kerry, the younger sister whose brother has been through so much and has been wrongly accused on embezzlement. She will do anything for her brother, and it's that loyalty and determination that eventually wins over Rafe. The suspense part of this book blends in seamlessly with romance developing between Kerry and Rafe. The plot advances smoothly as Rafe delves deeper into the bank records and he and Kerry spend an amazing couple of days together. The lovemaking is very sensual and allows the reader insight into Rafe's character. His gentleness and dominance are the perfect foil for Kerry's sweetness and emerging sensuality. I can't say enough great things about this book. I highly recommend it!
