Lucas has no plans to let her move on. He wants her back, and he means to get her back. However he can.

Daniel is a new man in Katiya's life. A man who's shown a lot of interest in her at work. They've had several lunches together, but now he wants to take her out to dinner. She knows he wants more than that, and she thinks she is ready for more. But Lucas won't stop reading her thoughts.

I never did really understand why Katiya left Lucas. From a comment of his, I infer that she left because he read her mind and it made her angry. Since she was raised around him and his family, she already knew what they were like. That they weren't human, and they weren't 'normal'. So if she knew what to expect, I find it hard to believe that a twenty five year-old would walk away from her blood-bound mate because he read her mind without permission. Because of her actions and her attitude with Lucas and Daniel, I found her a very unlikable character. Given her rashness, I wouldn't consider him overprotective.

Lucas was delicious. He deserves better. As the story progresses you get to see more and more of his character, and you learn how sweet and protective he is. I was not surprised with the way the story evolved, but I can say that I was pleased with the ending. I really enjoyed reading about Lucas and wouldn't mind seeing some of his brothers in action. I bet they are just as delicious.
