Regret is a hard pill to swallow much less live with for twenty years but Annie Parsons has learned how to live with it. When she decides to go back home to see if life has changed in her small hometown, she never expects to see them. Tommy and Judah Ambinder are brothers in name only. They take care of their mother and tolerate each other the best way they know how. The loss of Annie is an imprint on their family neither can ever forget nor forgive the other for losing. When Annie pays a visit to the old Ambinder family homestead and then the local bar, neither Tommy nor Judah can resist the magnetic pull Annie stimulates in each of them. Will the brothers survive her visit or finally tear each other to pieces?

The Boys Next Door is a heart tearing story of misunderstood love and finding new ways to handle it. Tommy and Judah have strong emotions neither can put aside about Annie. She was a key person in Tommy's childhood and Judah's young adulthood. Both wanted her in a way neither can accept. Annie understood each brother in a unique way and yearned to make them feel loved. This story has a good story flow and character development. The Boys Next Door is an enjoyable read, has some sizzling sex scenes and a loving solution to their dilemma.
