| Preston Evans was mentally miserably standing at a crossroad. He was torn between the loyalties of his family and his estranged wife, Carly. Although, Carly had committed an unforgivable crime against his family, Preston still yearned for Carly like none other. Will Preston be able to forgive Carly for what she did? And, more importantly, will Carly welcome Preston back into her life with open arms?
After the horrific tragedy that destroyed her marriage to Preston Evans, Carly was finally living her life without him or so she fooled herself into believing. It wasn’t until the town’s whore enticed her with the idea of letting Preston back into her life. But, before Carly could decide on her Preston issue - in walked a new temptation that could possibly persuade her into stop thinking about her estranged husband. And, that attraction was a young prosperous cowboy by the name of Robert Barkley. Now, who will Carly choose? Branded by Anger was a historical story about forgiveness. Both Carly and Preston housed a lot of anger towards one another and each had to learn how to forgive in order to rekindle what was lost between them. The plot flowed at a smooth, rapid pace and it was easily completed within a few short hours. Carly and Preston had a love/hate relationship that was filled with red-hot passion and some sensation bed scenes. Sparks constantly flew whenever these two were around each other both in and out of bed. Overall, I found Branded by Anger to be an enjoyable read with enough drama to keep me hanging on the edge of my seat eager to discover the outcome.
