| Slade Dalton made a living as a bounty hunter. Yet he felt maybe it was time to go home. Home to Colorado and the ranch he had grown up on. The Lazy Heart was the only home he had ever known. He had planned to go back and make a living as a rancher and at one time The Lazy Heart was a fairly successful cattle ranch.
On his way there he ran into a young woman with the same destination in mind. Ms. Lacey Sarah Jarrell was on her way to the Lazy Heart to await the arrival of her future husband, Grady. Grady Dalton was Slade's brother who had been in England on business. Grady never cared for the ranch and had made his living in finances. He had met Lacey there and after a whirlwind corutship she had agreed to marry him in the States. She was to stay at the ranch until he came for her. The moment Slade and Lacey met the sparks flew. Slade tried his best to have her change her mind about staying at the ranch, but gave up when she started to pitch in. And that only made her more desirable to him. And she began to have feelings for this handsome cowboy that would leave her aching for his touch. It soon becomes a battle between her own promise to marry Grady or to tell Slade of her love for him. The brothers had always been rivals and this time the prize was more than Slade was willing to loose. This young woman had crept into his heart and captured a piece of him that she wouldn't let go and he didn't want her to. A true romance, a book you can't put down. Lacey Jarrell is a strong character and yet the image of the handsome Slade Dalton ever comes into this reader's mind. Don't miss this one - it's a keeper.
