Three sisters, Valerie, Brea, and Jolene, were raised on the family ranch called Bar M. After their parents died when they were all in their teens, their uncle helped run the ranch and raise them. Now that he has passed away, the three girls are reunited at the ranch for his funeral and to decide what the future holds for them.

Valerie left home first to pursue a medical degree. She also left behind her marriage to ranch foreman, Mason. She has never forgotten Mason and knows seeing him again will stir up all their unresolved feelings.

Brea is the middle girl and has always felt uncomfortable between her motivated older sister and beautiful younger sister. She can't keep her eyes or her thoughts away from Gage, the Bar M's horse trainer.

Jolene, the youngest sister and the only one to stay on the ranch, heads up the operation of the ranch. She has always been confident and capable and now she wants ranch hand Walker, even though he seems to shy away from any intimate contact with her.

All three sisters were interesting in their own way. Valerie has become a successful doctor and has no plans to stay at the ranch. Seeing Mason again reminds her how much she loves him and that scares her. I loved Mason for his quiet strength and for how he knew Valerie better than she knew herself. Gage and Brea were perfect for each other, once Brea opened her mind and heart to the reality of who Gage was and put aside her preconceived ideas about both him and herself. I loved their picnic scene! Jolene was the most interesting sister to me. She was gorgeous without knowing it and capable of running a large ranch while keeping the respect of the ranch hands because she didn't shirk her responsibilities. I loved how she approached her feelings for Walker in the same no nonsense way she ran the ranch. She saw something that needed doing and she did it. Walker really didn't stand a chance even though he had valid reasons for resisting Jolene.

This novella made me laugh out loud at times. The plot flowed smoothly from one novella to the next. The pacing was a little slow at times but my interest was maintained with all the characters showing up in each novella. It was like reading a series without having to wait months between books. The ranch is like another character since it is such an important part of all their lives. The author gives us descriptive information about the ranch and what is involved daily to keep it running. I thought Bound was the most emotional novella, Branded the most enlightening and Brazen was the most fun to read.
