| Since she was a teenager and purchased a charm at a garage sale, Leigh
Temple has been having dreams about the Norse god Thor. Leigh's charm
is actually half of an enchanted hammer charm that Thor had given his
favorite bed wench Tianna. Although the two lovers were separated, Thor
and Tianna never stopped loving and searching for each other and now can
only be joined in the sprit of people that hold each half of the charm.
Although Leigh tried to put aside the vivid daydreams along with her charm, she has never met any man who could compare to her fantasies of Thor. Until she goes to a business party where she meets Jake Thornton, the owner of the other half of Thor's charm. The attraction between Jake and Leigh is instantaneous. Jake though is not only off limits because he is attempting to take over the construction company Leigh manages but he is also married. Despite their distrust of each other and their feelings, Jake and Leigh are quickly compelled into an impassioned affair neither can resist. Branded is an enjoyable erotic romance. The story nicely explores the feelings behind meeting someone you think is perfect for you but unavailable and the conflicts that can go with it. The memories Jake and Leigh have of Thor and Tianna really heat up the book. Leigh's feelings of guilt over Jake being married are understandable and the frequent fights they have after sex, make sense in this context. Branded pulls you right into this steamy passionate affair.
