Wild Bill and Michael are having a relaxing fourth of July doing what they like best. Sex under the stars on top of their van watching fireworks and growing closer leads into some revelations. When Michael brings up having a ménage Wild Bill is surprised but there are few things he wouldn't do for the man he loves. Even sharing another man between them doesn't seem to be able to relieve the moodiness Wild Bill is feeling when they camp near a church.

Jordan Castillo Price continues this series about the two men with an unusual mixture of dry wit and introspection. The author goes much deeper into Wild Bill's past life and his feelings. The man is a conglomerate of so many thoughts and strengths. Guilt, joy, a sense of responsibility seem at odds with the life he lives. It's a fascinating character study of the two men since they don't have any rogue vampires to kill. Even Michael is rethinking the original precipitating event that started him on his quest to seek out and destroy those vampires who hurt others. Ms. Castillo Price just keeps fascinating me with this series about the vampire and the man as they find out what they want in life. They seem to know they want one another but the rest is flexible. It's a thought provoking and erotic series!
