| Char is bored with the women he knows, and is starting to think that he will never find his true mate. He is on a mission to discover new planets, and is currently waiting at a newly discovered planet called earth. Two of his crew members were lost and he needs to find out what happened to them. When a signal is finally received, he unexpectedly transports an earth woman named Brianna to his ship. His chief scientist wants a piece of her to experiment on, and he's not allowed to put her back on earth. He takes Brianna with him, and to protect her from some pretty nasty experiments decides to marry her.
Brianna was thrilled to find out there is life outside of earth. When she unexpectedly learns that the specimens that her scientist was trying to cut up were alive, she decides to rescue them. She doesn't expect to end up on a space ship rushing towards the unknown, or that the captain of the ship would have to marry her to protect her from the same type of scientist that was on earth. Neither Char nor Brianna expects to fall in love either. Celestial Passions is an interesting read. The world that Judy Mays creates is rich and varied, with a lot of things going on in the background of the main story. I found it to be on the long side, and it seemed to drag a little bit after the beginning. Brianna is a strong heroine that has a good at heart and means well. Char doesn't realize for a long time that what he feels for Brianna is more than lust, which I found a little hard to believe. There is a lot that happens to the both of them, and the sex between the two is burning hot. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this story, and would recommend it to anyone that likes Sci Fi Romance.
