| Andi Goforth was a 27-year-old administrative assistant temporarily working for Cole Green, CEO of Greene Pharmaceuticals. Andi had skeletons in her closet from her break-up with Sam whose pregnant fiancée was forcing him to sell the condo away from Andi before she could get the money to purchase it. When Cole requested she pretend to be engaged to him for the day, she was shocked, but agreed because she would get the money she needed to purchase her home.
Cole’s grandmother, Helen, didn’t go home the same day she came. To keep up the farce, Andi was forced to move into Cole’s bedroom and stay with him. Neither Cole nor Andi were interested in falling in love—especially with each other. This was just a job for her. But then, there was her sister’s wedding where her ex-fiancé and his girlfriend would be in attendance. Grandmother decided they needed to go so she could get acquainted with Andi’s estranged family. Ms. Sherry A. Davis has done a good job of presenting a plot with a twist which involved several characters who seemed to each add depth to the storyline. She showed the independence of Cole and Andi, but she also demonstrated their vulnerability. She developed their relationship amid circumstances which involved a range of emotions. I shed tears. I laughed. The sexual connotations were well written but not offensive to anyone. I thoroughly enjoyed this great story and believe anyone would. Great job, Ms. Davis.
