When Alexis Stanhope's husband confesses he killed her father, and then throws her overboard on their honeymoon she thinks she can't be anymore surprised. That is until she finds herself in the ocean with a man beside her. At first she thinks he must have jumped overboard to save her and thinks he must be stupid to have done that instead of going for help. But she is even more surprised when he offers to grow wings and fly them out of there and when he does start to grow them she thinks she's the one brain damaged. When he tells her his name is Adonis and puts a protective bubble around her and takes her far under the ocean she passes out cold from the shock. When she awakes she is on what she thinks is an Island and is told that she is at Atalantium or what we call Atlantis.

Adonis takes her back to his place and is trying to seduce her when a very huge and sexy man who tells Alexis his name is Thor interrupts them. Thor is displeased because Adonis has broken their rules by bringing an outsider to Atalantium. Thor takes them to the counsel to await their decision on the rule breaking. There it's discovered that Alexis has powers of her own when she brings a mind weld of Thor's. Adonis is banished from Atalnatium for a year and Alexis has to decide if she is going to stay or have her memories wiped out and be sent home.

Thor takes her back to his house to stay until she makes her decision. Thor and Alexis are very attracted to each and make love at his house. Alexis is torn and doesn't know what to decide. She loves Thor and wants to stay, but wants to go back and get justice for her father and deal with her husband and make him pay for his actions. When Alexis finds out she is carrying Thor's child it complicates things even more. Things are also complicated by the fact that there is a rebellion-taking place in Atalantium, and that Thor is their guardian and is afraid that they will use Alexis against him. This puts Alexis is a lot of danger which Thor has a hard time dealing with especially when she is carrying his child.

This is very action packed romantic story. Ms. Morin takes the myths of Atlantis and makes a very believable and extremely interesting story. The men and women are very strong characters who you will fall in love with. The sex scenes between Thor and Alexis are hot and steamy. This world of Ms. Morin is captivating and I'm glad there are going to be more in the series.
