Alenna Carstairs is working on an amateur archeological dig in Scotland when she is suddenly surrounded by a strange mist that tosses her back to the year 1318 and into the arms of the most devastatingly handsome man, Tynan of MacBrahin. The sexual tension between Alenna and Tynan is immediate and all-consuming. But she finds his barbaric ways infuriating and he finds her head strong, twenty-first century attitude unbearable.

Tynan’s feelings grow quickly for Alenna, but he's determined not to fall in love with her. He believes he's cursed and every woman he loves dies. Alenna is determined to make him see she is just the person to help him overcome this curse he believes in so strongly. When an evil baron decides he wants Alenna for himself, will Tynan be able to save her or will his curse once again take the woman he loves?

I truly enjoyed this story. It not only had a strong, independent twenty-first century woman but it has a gorgeous sexy as sin, albeit barbaric thinking man. Ms. Agnew has written an exceptional tale of medieval times. She carries the reader back to castles and swordplay, to a time when one person held everyone’s life in their hands and when a harsh punishment was commonplace. Alenna with her determined nature and her need to help everyone around her and Tynan trying so hard to keep her safe without losing his heart was such an exciting trip to travel. The sexual tension between these two characters was scorching, but the love they both refused to see was undeniable. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lot of action, sizzling passion and a battle of wills that will keep the reader completely engrossed to the very last page. Great job, Ms. Agnew. I look forward to reading more from this wonderful author.
