Some would think that seven years was too long to hold a grudge against someone; however, when that someone tramped all over your heart – it wasn’t easy to forgive and to forget.

After Jocelyn Winters had spitefully dumped him seven years ago, the chance had finally come for Cade Devlin to even the score by giving her a piece of his mind and to prove to everyone, especially to Jocelyn, that he was over her. However, the moment he saw her all Cade could think about was how good it use to be between them and more importantly how much he still wanted her in his bed.

Jocelyn Winters knew that it would be very difficult coming home after seven years of intentional banishment. But, an agonizing secret that she wanted to remain hidden had kept her from all that she loved and cherished. In order to keep everyone from discovering her dreadful clandestine, Jocelyn broke all ties with her beloved father and bitterly ended her relationship with Cade. Yet, seven years of separation had not lessened her love for Cade. But, how could she rekindle their love affair when such a painful secret stood between them. And, more importantly, if discovered would break Cade’s heart forever.

Readers, I must warn you that Eve Vaughn’s Broken was a real tear jerker. So, you definitely will want to keep a few tissues handy. My emotions were all over the place. One moment I was angry and hurt; then in the next instant I was either teary-eyed or breathless with great anticipated lust. The love scenes shared between Cade and Jocelyn were steamy and highly erotically hot; yet tenderly sweet all at their same time. Both Cade and Jocelyn had been Broken and it took the revealing of Jocelyn’s secret for the healing process to began. Ms. Vaughn has written a spectacular, heartfelt story that will remain deep within long after the conclusion has come and gone.
