| Sabin, a warrior of the Hunter Clan, has been given the task of stealing and enslaving a woman of the Antelope Clan. The Hunters hope to breed the speed of the Antelope people into their offspring. After he captures his prey, Sabin begins the forced seduction of Kahsha which he believes will result in a compliant sex slave. But Kahsha is not the simple creature that his clan believed the Antelopes to be. As he gets to know her, Sabin begins to question both his task and his heart.
Sabin is an honorable man forced to commit a dishonorable task for the good of his clan. As I read the story, I could feel the depth of his conflict. Ms. Harper captures his confusion even as his begins his forced seduction of Kahsha. The details of the sexual encounters are vivid and erotic. Kahsha's frustration is acutely felt by the reader. Although affected by Sabin's prowess, I liked that Kahsha was determined to make him see her as a person. I was disappointed with lack of background information on the world and culture of the clans. It was difficult to care about either clan or their problems but the characters are well defined and story flows nicely. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good 'capture' story.
