Edwin has been wanting a 1962 Alfa Romeo Spider most of his life. When he finally buys one, he gets more than he bargained for. He also gets a ghost named Cooper who used to own the car. The same day Edwin meets Cooper he also meets Carson. Carson is vibrant and full of life. Edwin knows he could easily come to love Carson. He is torn between confused feelings that Cooper brings out in him and what he is beginning to feel for Carson. Cooper wants Edwin and will do anything to get him including getting Carson out of the way. Can Edwin separate himself from Cooper and take what Carson is offering him?

To say the least this is not your normal ghost story. It is (excuse the play on words) haunting and at times enthralling. The plot is original and well thought out. I only had one problem with this, the author tended to go on and on about how Edwin was hung up on his age and his past. This is not to say that this did not have its place in the story. It just seemed like overkill at times, which made the story seem to drag in places. The three main characters in the story (Edwin, Cooper and Carson) all had an interesting dynamic which drew the reader in. Sometimes you felt for Cooper’s plight or Edwin’s regret over past mistakes or even for Carson’s frustration in the whole situation, making the story more captivating. There are some m/m scenes that some readers might find objectionable including, but not limited to, dubious consent. A great story for one of those rainy days when you just want to stay in with a good book. While not a horror story per se, it is not for the faint of heart.
