| Levi McKenna was a rodeo hero as well as a film heartthrob. The press followed him constantly and never failed to photograph him with his latest bombshell on his arm. When he showed up for the championship round, he found his childhood buddy Dusty Hart, his wife Becca, and his sister Sydney owned the local bar, Cowboy Up. One look at the beautiful Syd and he still regretted his promise to his best friend that he would always leave Dusty’s sister alone.
Syd had always been attracted to Levi from the time he took her to prom even though that was as a favor to Dusty. As embarrassed as that made her, she was still interested. Her luck with men had always been disastrous. That was proven by the stalking she was trying to live through with her last boyfriend. Ms. Moira Keith has written a great book about long-time friends that had never gotten over their fascination with each other. This fast-paced book was one which grabbed my attention from page one and I couldn’t put it down. The suspenseful activities were unexpected yet added to the impact of the storyline. Her main characters were different but so believable. The supporting cast was typically presented as ones who hovered when anxious about outcome. The sensuality was sizzling and the sex explicit. It was not, however, out of place. The ending, while possibly expected, did not get there in a predictable way. I highly recommend this book.
