Jada Green was a staff counselor for the NFL team, the Barracudas. The boss, Dane, sent her to the home of his greatest player, Devon McAteer. He was on probation after a very public fight with another player on his own team. When Devon didn’t show up for practice, Jada was sent to counsel him and get him back on track. She entered his home and found him naked, still asleep, and she had trouble waking him.

Jada spent the day with her hero, Devon, and the sexual chemistry was explosive. However, he was determined to quit the team and become an architect. She had just become involved with the man Devon beat up on the ball field. At the end of the day, they decided to go their own ways. It was four years before they again saw each other face-to-face.

Ms. Grayson Reyes-Cole has done a great job telling this fast-past story. Even though the two main characters were not together, they were still connected. The book was so well-written that I could not put it down. The characters were dynamic and such believable people that I loved the story even more than I expected.

A bit of the supernatural flowed in this book. Usually I don’t prefer these type books, but this is so well written that I was mesmerized. I promise you a great read from an author who obviously knows how to keep readers’ attention. I highly recommend that you read this book.
