| Virginia Chase finds herself in a farmhouse needing far too many repairs for her budget. A hot young carpenter, Mike Standish, gives her a quote she can’t refuse. If nothing else the price will be worth it to have this hunk around the house every day.
Sierra Dafoe seems to be able to write in every genre. Paranormal vampires, dragons, werewolves, erotic, erotic, erotic!! I haven’t read a book from her yet that didn’t send me into overdrive. She can elicit any emotion from fear to wonder to, of course, blazing lust. In this book she does a tremendous job with the difference in age between lovers. Empathy, compassion, humor are written about in realistic terms with twists and turns to the relationship. Ms. Dafoe likes happy endings but she doesn’t always make it easy for her couples to find them. Ginny and Mike start with nothing in common but a house needing repair work and some instant lust. They work long and hard at not only fixing Ginny’s house but also mending the heart that broke when her husband died. Mike is painted very convincingly as not only a home repairman but as a young man who knows a thing or two about fixing broken hearts. Ms. Dafoe has done it again with a book that is erotic, compassionate and one heck of a good read.
