Matt had a rough life but he trusted God throughout. He had a problem past and had lost his wife and unborn daughter. Now his 15-year-old nephew, Paul, lived with him. Matt's sister, Eydie, was in rehab for alcohol abuse. His closest friend Nora had recently died and he had been told about her niece and her little girl, Caroline and Callie, who inherited the house.

Caroline had a traumatic past and was trying to cope with it for both herself and her small daughter, Callie. She had traumatically lost her husband while he was working in the church. She hadn't been back to church since his funeral. They were surprised and scared to death at the meeting of the two main characters. It was funny from my point of view, but Caroline didn't think it was funny at all.

Ms. Mary Manners has, once again, penned an exceptionally poignant story about a couple who really needed to start over. Jesus is the God of second chances. Ms. Manners does a great job of expressing these sentiments. The characters were multi-faceted and so well delivered in the manuscript that I couldn't help but love them. The interactions with the supporting characters were spectacular.

The story flowed so well, it was almost impossible to put down. The spiritual aspects of the book were dynamic but would not be offensive to anyone. The book was well written and so involved the reader that it would be impossible to upset even the unbelievers. Varied storylines were developed throughout the book. It was definitely not cookie-cutter. The book was exceptional.

I highly recommend this book to anyone. I cried, I laughed, and cried some more. The only thing I wasn't was bored! Ms. Mary Manners has delivered a great book once again!
