Patrick Medcaff has a dream: buy his own condo. And to accomplish his dream, he gets a second job as a janitor at New York college. On his first day in his new job, Patrick meets Christian Jennings, professor and Dean of Economics. It is attraction at first sight.

Burning for You is a enjoyable story. It's somewhat predictable which to me was a disappointment as it had the potential for much more. For example, Patrick is a blue collar worker, the only son of humble parents who didn't go to college and becomes romantically involved with a professor from a privileged family. They have completely different backgrounds. Personally I was hoping that this caused friction in the relationship but that didn't happen. The relationship went smoothly without any problems. And when they had a clash near the end of the book, the sensation I had was that he happened to end the monotony of the story and give the impression that the happy ending achieved by the couple was not so easy.

As I said earlier, Patrick is a blue collar worker who must work two jobs in order to save enough money to buy his own condo. He doesn't shrink into a corner and lament his situation. He does what he has to do to realize his dream. And Christian, despite his privileged position, isn't snob and treats Patrick as an equal. The story also has interesting secondary characters, like Mike, a friend of Patrick and Christian's sisters, Barbara and Stela. Burning for You is a sweet story of love at first sight. Nothing more, nothing less.
