Contemporary erotic romance

Laurel Delacroix is satisfied with her life. Business at her adult toy store, The Rubber Tree, is booming. Between great friends and interesting customers, Laurel has everything she needs. That is until Lee walks in the door. Lee is "the one that got away." The physical relations with Lee are the best she has ever had, but Laurel isn’t interested in a relationship. Lee Carter was the prince of his small hometown and woman have always flocked to him. Lee finds Laurel’s distance challenging. When danger stalks Laurel, Lee insists on protecting her.

Set in the rich nightlife and colorful days of New Orleans' French Quarter, this story is full of interesting people and places. The chemistry between Laurel and Lee is sizzling hot right from the beginning. Laurel is an independent businesswoman with a past that causes her to hold tight to her independence with no intentions of letting go. I fell in love with Laurel immediately and wanted to help her with her struggles. On the surface she really seems like she has it all, but like most of us there are hidden flaws. Lee is everyone’s idea of the perfect guy, but is anyone truly perfect? With well-developed "real" characters, this book had me hooked from page one and left me wishing for more. This was my first book by Ms. Leah, but it certainly wont be my last.
