Scarlett wants her time with Byron. She wants him to make love to her and finish that connection but is not sure how. Byron on the other hand does not feel worthy and is trying to hold on to his control so that he does not take her. Scarlett takes advantage of the time and begs Byron to complete their connection. She pushes Byron to open up both emotionally and sexually during their time together. They do some role playing together and they have a lot of fun. Scarlett gets Byron to open up about his mother and what happened there.

This story is a continuation of the series and so jumps right in to the story for the most part. There is some overlap that is confusing. It almost seems to jump back and forth from what was covered in the previous book and the present time. This book focuses on the relationships and the plot continues to develop. This story shows more of the Lenox brother's past and why Byron has tried to emotionally detach himself from Scarlett. This story focuses more on the emotions and their developing relationship between Scarlett and the brothers. It also continues the story of Scarlett's almost step-mother and her evil plan. The sex is very explicit in this story. It's also very frequent. There is the usual sex that goes on in this story, some elements of BDSM and the multiple partners, along with role play. Byron and Scarlett role play sexually quite often. It is a way that they connect and try to push past the boundaries that Byron has tried to put in place. There is definitely emotion involved throughout the story. Relationships have already been formed and are in the process of being deepened. To get the full enjoyment of this story it is recommended for you to read the previous books in this series.
