Saloni’s attempt to get revenge on Rahul for her death and the death of their baby has landed both of them in prison. The Wakened Veils have sentenced the two of them to spend a month in a locked cell together. Weretigers do not take well to captivity at the best of times, and especially not with the person who caused all of their anguish.

Despite being over a hundred years old, both of these characters resemble spoiled brats more than anything else. Saloni risks a war with the weretigers for her own personal revenge and Rahul is looking for his father to get him out of trouble. There is a lot of chemistry between the two characters, but I never got a real sense of Saloni and her pain. Rahul actually comes off better in the story, his crime is largely that of ignorance and he is willing to make amends to his now vampire former lover. Immaturity and immortality can be an explosive combination, but the author ties up all of her loose ends neatly by the end of the story.
