| In this story of the Lunar Mates series, Billy Cagle the Beta of the Appalachian Pack goes to Florida in pursuit of this true mate Chloe. Chloe was trapped into a mating with a wolf who wasn’t her true mate. Wyatt wanted control of the Pack and abused her terribly. She loves Billy but is reluctant to commit herself to another mating. Billy has a week to convince her that her life would be better with him than without him.
Billy and Chloe are a very appealing couple. In spite of his position in the Pack, he is very gentle with her and feels a large amount of guilt for the abuse she suffered before he killed Wyatt. He feels that he should have claimed her earlier, but Wyatt got there first. The other couples from the first three stories also appear here. Billy and Chloe’s love story is very well written and sensual and the author handles Chloe’s abuse at the hands of Wyatt very well. It is helpful to have read the other stories, but not necessary to enjoy this tale.
