Natalie is a flight attendant who on one of her flights meets a very interesting man named Ryan. He is instantly taken with her and offers to give her job as his assistant while he goes into the African jungle to do his research for his next book. Feeling she needs a change in her life and could definitely use the huge amount of cash that comes with the job she takes it. Getting away from her problems with her ex-boyfriend is another perk and she looks forward to the peace and quiet. What she doesn't know is that her boyfriend was using her to smuggle in diamonds and he wants the ones she has but doesn't know about. Now she's being hunted in the jungle of Africa and has no idea that she is about to become the prey in a twisted game.

Robert hires Natalie because he sees something in her that he's never seen in another woman. He doesn't want to get involved after an engagement went wrong for him, so he is just basically in it for the research and the sex is an added bonus. When he realizes that something is wrong, will it be to late to save the woman who has become so important to him?

This is a great story but the characters really got on my nerves. Ryan can come off like a real jerk at times and expects Natalie to be happy with whatever bone of love and affection he's willing to throw out. Then the fact that he used her for research is really bad and he seems shocked when she gets upset over it. In spite of this the writing is really good and the story very creative, a wonderful adventure novel with lots of intrigue mixed in.
