| Instead of being a time of joy, this Christmas is a time for sorrow and memories for Shelby Lassen. Her grandmother left her a cabin that needs to be packed up and gotten ready to sell.. Pleasant memories of childhood before her mother died vie with sadness. She seems to have no one to share the season with until a handsome handyman and travelers in a storm show up at her door.
Cassidy McKay pens a sweet romance full of the magic of the holiday season. Warm memories of childhood spent with our own families and grandparents will easily blend with Shelby's memories. Hopefully most readers won't have the sadness of separation that Shelby did. Chris Elleson is one of those handymen who can do anything, maybe even fix her lonely heart. Maithe and her children provide something that Shelby wants after she puts the candle in the window. They and a kitten aptly named Trouble provide some laughter amidst the angst of Shelby's family situation. This is one of those tales that's a joy to read any time of the year. It's sweet, it's sexy and the story is one of tradition and hope.
