| Candice's thirtieth birthday starts out with the trauma of having to go to work and seems about to end with a missing stripper. Refusing to go down without some fun and well lubed with daiquiris Candice absconds with the clown who showed up to go looking for the missing birthday present. On their quest Candice finds out that Ash the clown isn't exactly who she thought he was.
J. Morgan tells a hilarious tale of one of those birthday fiascos that somehow manage to work themselves out in the long run. Ash goes from sounding like a humble, shy clown to a rather outspoken man who¡s holding onto a secret that he pricks the right time to share. Candice has a fast tongue and wit that could wear a lesser man down. This is one of those books that will keep you in stitches from first place to last. Mr. Morgan seems to do rowdy female personas well. Candice is a total hoot whether sober or a little tipsy. The dialogue she, Maggie, and April get into is the kind of love hate jargon only the best of friends could ever get away with. I enjoyed every minute of this story.
