| Gary Sanchez was injured in Afghanistan and didn't have the heart to go on with his dreams destroyed. While in the VA hospital, an elderly lady and her dogs come to visit the hospital ward he is in. Thanks to the dog, Gary realizes what he wants to do with his life. Dr. Mirman Hamardi sees Gary's dog, Angie, in his hospital and having bad memories of dogs from his childhood tries to stop Gary in his tracks. Angie has to help Gary show Mirman that Gary's visits are good for the patients and that Mirman has nothing to fear from her.
I enjoyed this book. The characters are from different backgrounds and have to overcome past tragedies with the help of a dog. It is fun was to see Angie help Gary and Mirman come together. The flow of the book is a little off, but gives you insight into the past so that you can find out why each man feels the way he does. If you love dogs, you will enjoy the story and want to read more from this author and the canine cupid stories.
