| Cheeky Beswick was set to produce a movie called Aloha Countess. Her father, Larry, was the film’s financier, but that was not why she was selected for the job. She was working with Jon Spector, director, who had a story of his own. Jon was married to Sheila, a shopaholic, but he had been having an affair with Patty for the past five years.
This book told the story of how this film crew visited the Cannes Film Festival to hook up with a major film star. They also visited Hawaii where part of the movie would be filmed. The biggest challenge in the entire story was that Cheeky wanted her best friend, Brittany Clark, to be cast as Cristal Rivers, the supporting female character. Jon wanted to cast anybody besides Cheeky’s friend, but she was so beautiful, it might be worth hiring her to get her into bed. The characters had a solid base, but I felt they were poorly developed. This book was a shorter story, which was not a problem. However, I feel that it would be a much better-accepted work if it was more fully expanded. I enjoyed the beginning and was expecting a really creative novel. The most shocking was the abrupt ending. I’m not sure what Ms. Andersen’s motives were, but I’m afraid this book was a little disappointing.
