Sable Cannibury sought a change in her life when she left her family, friends and the farm in Pennsylvania. She had no intentions of hurting anyone... she just needed something more. But, the pain of her departure caused damage that she might not ever be able to repair...but then would she ever consider a return home?

With a new life, friends and college attained, Sable was on the verge of achieving her career goal when her plans are put on hold when she learns that she is heir to one-third of the family farm. How could her grandmother even consider Sable in her will? Now there’s a decision to make. Can Sable face the people at home, especially Gage Lawson, the man she spurned when she left.

CANNIBURY HILL by Amy Mistretta is a compelling read. I expected just a normal "home-coming/rebuilt love" tale, but I got so much more. Ms. Mistretta’s writing gives you a great glimpse into Sable’s conflict, Gage’s emotional battle, and packs in a little mystery, some interesting secondary characters and results in a great story. It’s a page-turner. This is the first Amy Mistretta offering that I’ve read, but you can bet I’ll be looking for others.
