The Dark Knight beats Sir Guy at tournament and becomes one of the earl's new knights, then saves his life in a fight and keeps him from becoming a hostage. Soon after, Sir Rowan swears his loyalty and arms to the earl and Christiana begins to see some merit in being a girl.

Ms. Valdez has written a story of knighthood and love, of hearts torn between two women and the man who must chose between the values that are truly important. A tale of the times, in the days of knights and lands to be won with the love of a fair maiden's hand and the treachery of one knight to have it all regardless of love. A good saga of romance in the days of damsels in distress and knights that come to their rescue and win a kingdom for their efforts.
