Dragon shifter Vincent Sheridan is an honorable man who refuses to prey on humans, feeding off cattle instead. His lover, vampire prince Devon Hart, follows his example and feeds off him and him only. Together for two years, Devon realizes he knows next to nothing about the man he is so in love with. He now wants to know more about his lover's background and Vincent himself won't help since whenever they are alone they find themselves doing much more than talking. However, he gets his chance at satisfying his curiosity when an old enemy of Vincent appears and tries to strip him of his home in Cardiff.

This is a very entertaining paranormal book. To be honest, it took me a minute to get my bearings as to what the book was about, and some of the plot seemed to be a bit over the top. However, this love story is in no way unconvincing and untrue. Vincent and Devon are fiercely in love with each other, and that is pretty clear in all the sizzling love scenes these two share. More, despite my opinion that this story was way too short for the amount of information and potential it carries, the plot is well paced and clear, and very dynamic. I was also charmed but the subtle humor in the conversations, the complexity of all the characters, and the intensity of it all. This is definitely a must read for paranormal romance fans.
