Sarah has a thing for her next door neighbor, computer program designer, Gavin McMaster. He’s so shy he works from home and she can’t even get him to stay for coffee. When Sarah begins to receive expensive gifts, always delivered to Gavin’s apartment, from a cyber-stalker, Gavin jumps to her aid. He’s not so shy anymore. Gavin has a friend who is a security expert that Gavin believes will be able to track down C.A.R.L.O.S., the stalker. Gavin’s friend Martin works on Sarah’s computer; then he warns Sarah to leave and wait somewhere safe because the threatening messages are coming from Gavin’s computer. Could it really be true that the first man Sarah’s fallen for is her stalker?!!!

Love, C.A.R.L.O.S. is a fast paced and really cute short story that will make you believe in love again. The plot twists are surprising and endearing. Sarah and Gavin’s characters are well enough written that I liked them both and was rooting for them to get together. I was as shocked as Sarah to discover the messages came from Gavin’s computer. The ending was a surprise that caught me off guard and that was before the last little shocker I found reminiscent of “The Twilight Zone”. Love, C.A.R.L.O.S. is a cute story that I really enjoyed reading.
