| Altah doesn’t want to be at this ceremony, she’s thinks she’s too sophisticated for the whole barbaric ritual where werewolves fight over who will be her guardians. After all, vampires are more technologically advanced, and that werewolves are pretty primitive in comparison. When she sees the last two werewolves nearly kill themselves in the battle to win her hand, she knows she’s right in her feelings, although something stirs in her. Then comes an unusual request from their leaders… will she take two?
Kyros and Rex have fought their way through the contest because they want to be the only guardian to Altah. Both of them are obsessed with her, and when it’s decided that they will both serve her they are justifiably enraged. When they meet Altah, she manages to turn that rage into lust… Both Rex and Kyros have some big issues that need to be resolved before they can be part of Altah’s life. She’s a very powerful figure with some major enemies, and can’t afford to be distracted by the two dominant werewolves fighting over her. I liked the interaction between the three, she takes the time to know both of them and they really feel like they are all equals in the relationship, which is hard to do in this kind of story. There’s plenty of sex and action to go around in this intriguing story, Carnal Surrender is not a story you’ll want to miss.
