| Blair Moreau is the average werewolf young woman. Her job as a freelance web designer lets her help out her sister in law during her trying pregnancy. But even family can get on her nerves until she sees the gorgeous hunk fixing up the house down the street. Suddenly this family trip is looking much better. Conn Lucas has seen Blair in the neighborhood visiting her family and she is the star of all his wet dreams. Unfortunate fighting with his family and renovating his new home is taking up all his time and energy. Unknown to Conn is that Blair is a wiz with power tools and do it yourself home projects.
Carolina Pearl is a short work but all are used well to develop a pleasurable and action packed story. The story flows at a good pace developing the characters and providing insight into Blair and Conn's families. We get to know both the main and minor characters through family interaction with some who are criminally inclined and others who just want more grandchildren. The dialogue is natural and fun loving. The use of Blair's other side to deal with Conn's scandalous cousin is both intimidating and hilariously entertaining. The chemistry between Blair and Conn is sizzling hot. This is a good story and great introduction to Sela Carsen's writing.
