She had everything planned for her life until she met him. Carol planned to finish her studies so she could help out her pack. Then she meets Mark. She tries to stay away, but she can't help but fall for him. There is only one problem, he's human and forbidden.

I found this book a little hard to read because it would jump from past to present and you weren't really sure when something would happen until it did. I loved how Carol schooled the guys in football and wasn't intimidated in being the only girl playing. Although she had to tone down her gifts as a werewolf, it showed her love for the game.

I think Ms. Wynn did a great job of developing characters that most people can relate to. She spun a great story full of everyday problems and added some paranormal ones of course. As I was reading, I had the chance to know what both Carol and Mark were thinking and feeling as the story progressed and I felt it was very well balanced in that aspect of the story. When there was trouble I couldn't help but live those moments with them and hope that everything would turn out all right in the end.

Mark had a lot to deal with and learn about in order to claim Carol. And Carol had to overcome her fear of losing mark. Lessons are learned, love is found, and obstacles are overcome. It was interesting to see Carol and Mark interact with each other as well as seeing them interact with the other characters in the book especially Alex. Overall, I would recommend this book to almost anyone and I am looking forward to reading Alex's story. I am also going to read the first book in this series which is "Nicolai's Wolf."
