Casa, along with his best friends Stace and Spark, works for an exclusive guest ranch in New Mexico that caters to gay men. Casa loves his job at the Rainbow Ranch but, as his friends have found partners, he's feeling lonely and the odd man out. He's had a crush on his boss Jason for awhile. When Jason is hurt in a rodeo accident, Casa is more than willing to offer his assistance. Being this close to Jason he has a hard time hiding his feelings. He senses there might be reciprocal feelings from Jason. Will either man openly admit their feelings to each other?

The third book in The Wild Bunch series. This is Casa's story and it was pleasing as a follow up to the preceding stories. The idea of a dude ranch for dudes with something extra caught my interest. A sort of updated m/m version of the "soiled doves" of the Old West. I like a good cowboy romance especially of this genre and these stories have been rather interesting. I love the emotional connection between the three best friends and it's explored a bit more in this story. Of course the main focus is on Casa and Jason. I liked them as a couple and the transition from boss to lover was smartly written. The pacing is good, the beginning thrilling enough to sustain my interest throughout. In the real world, I might question the possibility of a long term relationship surviving between these two. Within the fictional Rainbow Ranch world it seems all is possible. A good read and I look forward to more from the Wild Bunch.
