| Gwen Dubois is excited to finally meet Marc Chevalier. They have been corresponding about a rare plant found in the woods near Big Knob, Indiana, and the messages between the two have become very friendly. Unbeknownst to much of the local populace Big Knob has quite a few residents that are a bit out of the norm. Among them are a dragon with ADD that lives in the forest, a matchmaking witch and wizard, and a fairy prince who has been visiting Gwen's dreams in a very sexual way. However, Marc is Gwen's soul mate and is determined to win her from the devious fairy prince.
I loved this story. The characters range from the quirky to the truly bizarre. My favorite image is of the local raccoons playing poker with the fairy prince. Big Knob is a very small town where everyone knows each other, but the magical Dorcas and Ambrose are totally beyond any story the gossips could possibly make up. Leo, the fairy prince, is not quite a villain, but spoiled and used to getting too much of his own way. Marc and Gwen are very vivid characters, and truly meant for each other. The story is told with humor and great descriptions of the people and settings. The dialogue is as witty and entertaining as the plot. There are no dull spots in this story and I found myself laughing out loud more than once.
