Gabriella Bradley picks up the story where she left it in book one The Seventh Portal. If you haven¢t read the first book this one may leave you wondering about what got them to where they are in this installment so it¢s highly recommended by this writer that you read book one before tackling this one. There are some flashbacks to fill in some of the information but book one fills in the blanks. The author gives us some interesting sci-fi scenarios like using the portal and ending up on a planet of people who don¢t look human. But they do have some interesting rituals and sexual techniques. The Minharians have become shifters from human to Sasquatch when stranded on earth as children.. Many of them want to reverse the process. For others the added appendage when they shift make sex between them unique and they don¡t mind the change. If nothing else it gives them an excuse for rampant sex. This is a good book for sci-fi fans but I found it to have too many characters and some rough scene transitions. Maybe this writer is just a sucker for great romance and there was a lot more sex just for the sake of sex than there was romance.
