| Detective Ryan Siler thought he had the perfect plan for murder; on a dark and lonely stretch of beach, where no one would interrupt them. He never thought there would be a witness.
Joel Brennan thought it was going to be a good night. Then he witnessed the murder. He tried to do the right thing and report it to the police. He did not expect the lead detective to be the murderer. I really didn't enjoy this book. The storyline seemed to go nowhere until the very end. The plot, while sounding interesting, just didn't seem to be even remotely believable. The characters were very one dimensional and not likeable at all. One is a dirty cop with a gambling problem, who is apparently not learning his lesson. The other is a keyboardist in a band who has a drug problem and likes to be mistreated by men. There was nothing seeming like romance between them, just sex. They don't even have a decent conversation between them. The best thing I can say about the book is the sexual situations; they were raw and gritty which went well with the book and the characters. But they couldn't save the story. I have never said this before but I would not recommend this book to anyone.
